Common Placement Test Basics

Degree-seeking students are required to present test scores from a common placement test or meet placement testing exemption status prior to registering for classes. At Eastern Florida State College, the following placement tests are accepted to meet this college credit placement testing requirement:

Scores must be current, which means the test was not taken more than two years prior to starting classes at EFSC. Scores used for placement purposes for the first-time student may be from the same test, or placement may be determined by mixing subtests of different tests, providing all scores are within the two-year time limit. EFSC will use the scores that offer the best placement for the student.
